Don’t want title and tagline added to my static homepage

I want to add a title and tagline in my WordPress dashboard but I don’t want it to display on the header of my static homepage. I am using Parabola settings. I also built a site for a friend of mine using the same Parabola settings but it doesn’t add to his static page. Why does it add to my page and how do I stop it? Thanks in advance.
