This is a solid plugin that adds functionality you wish were in the basic WordPress Media Library. Simple to use and completely reliable in my experience.
It is very useful for making image edits, as you can simply update an image, without worrying about existing links and file names. The function is flexible too, and completely non-obtrusive if you don’t need it.
