Yoast gives great SEO features in a well maintained and stable plugin. We have had no issues integrating it with multiple sites and find its prompts for page updates really good for optimising content. The courses for certification on Yoast.com are really worthwhile and give even experienced SEO hacks some up-to-date knowledge on what really works and what does not. It also shows you how much the plugin does in the background so you don’t need to configure lots of complex settings – unless you want to.
The only issues encountered are that the plugin doesn’t always recognise images in the content depending on how they are added (theme specific add function for example) and I personally find the readability scores unrealistic…Technical content often cannot be edited to the way it suggests and clients will see the red flag this causes as a negative. All round though a great tool for the job.
