Will “order deny,allow” command to restrict access affect WordFence?

Was told I could “lock down” my site better by adding lines to .htaccess in wp-admin folder.

order deny,allow
Deny from all
Allow from MYIP

Will this screw up the operation of the WordFence Plugin? AND Do I even need to do this at all; is having the WordFence plugin lock down enough to not have to worry about implementing this kind of protection?
