I was so happy, having Wamp installed and almost finished the site. When I installed a plugin and poof. No more connection.

What is the case:
Wamp sign is green. I can see the map in localhost. I can see the database in mysql. I can reach my maps in wordpress. But no connection via localhost to front or backend of wordpress.

What I’ve done so far.
-Installed new wamp, new wordpress and database (worked) and copy the old wp-content and wp-config. In vain.
– I’ve exported the database via mysql and try to import it in a new database. No luck.
– debug in the wp-config

the error I receive is:
Error establishing a database connection
or
Site is unreachable.
DNS server wordpress can’t be found

What I am: a simple wordpress user with trial and error knowledge. So please if you throw code at me, be specific to where it should be placed.

I’m really at the end of my latin and would be forever grateful if somebody could help me with this. I was so happy, but now a week work in the bin.. While my files are in hand reach. boohoo
