My site is totally bloated with code and images.
One page in particular was troublesome because it had 250+ images in 6 different tables.
While I haven’t found a Lazy Load tool for tables yet; I thought I’d try Speed Up just to see what happens… I thought it would break the tables and mess up loading completely.
I use WP Super Cache, Autoptimize, Cloudinary and Cloudflare so other pages load pretty well considering how much whizbang content they have – “Speed Up” shaved almost a full second off of full loaded time – that is pretty darn good.
On the tables page – it still loads sort of slow due to having to process the tables – but requests went from 250+ to 40… and it shaved two seconds off of full loading time. Impressive, especially considering no tweaks required.
