I recently installed SSL on my domain: thelivingword.org, a WordPress blog that gathers posts from other WordPress sites using FeedWordPress. The other sites are not using SSL.
FeedWordpress (version 2016.1213) shows the target URL as http://www.whatever.com/post-slug/ since the links are set to take the reader to the original source blog. For example: A post on http://www.churchofthelivingword.com is synchronized to thelivingword.org but its title link on thelivingword.org links back to the origin: churchofthelivingword.com/post-slug.
When the synchronized posts are shared from thelivingword.org to Facebook via Publicize, the link-back URLs on Facebook begin with https:// but they need to begin with http:// or they result in a 404 or “Your connection is not secure” error.
Is there a way to dictate http instead of https when using publicize to share with Facebook in this scenario?
