404 on password protected products for logged- out users

We’ve noticed an issue where logged out users are experiencing a 404 error on password protected products. Logged in users who enter the password are directed to the right page.

There’s nothing in the error log, permalinks have been re-saved and cache cleared etc.

Have any other users come across this?
